Swift-Cantrell Park

skatepark open 2Comprised of 42 pristine acres within city limits, Swift-Cantrell Park is the City of Kennesaw’s largest and most popular outdoor gathering space and supports a great variety of recreational uses.  The park offers 2 playgrounds, one for younger children and one for older children, flexible, large and open grass-covered recreation areas, the 1.4 acre Frank Boone Dog Park with separate fenced-in areas for both large and small dogs, 3 covered picnic pavilions complete with grills and space for 60 that can be rented, a 1-mile outer loop asphalt trail and a ½-mile inner loop asphalt trail, the Life University Fitness Station, benches and picnic tables for gatherings and relaxation as well as a permanent 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art skatepark.

What You Need to Know:

  • The Park is open 7 days a week from 7 am – 10 pm
  • Entrance and Parking are Free
  • At times the on-site parking fills up – alternative parking is available at Kennesaw Elementary School located at 3155 Jiles Road,Kennesaw, GA  30144 (Directions)
  • There are 5-point harness swings to accommodate younger children and handicap children
  • The playground base is covered in woodchips for safety – athletic shoes are recommended
  • There are clean restrooms on-site as well as water fountains throughout the park
  • Smoking in the park is prohibited by city ordinance
  • There are events that take place at the park including Skate Competitions, Movies in the Park, 5ks, Charity Events and Paws in the Park. Check our What’s Buzzing section or the park’s website for details
