Hero Run 5k / Run For Wounded Heroes 2015

Come walk, run or push a stroller for a great cause at the Run For Wounded Heroes on August 1st, 2015. By far the most well attended race in the series, the Run For Wounded Heroes is the fourth race in the Kennesaw Grand Prix series. Proceeds from this race benefit The Wounded Warrior Project and the Kennesaw Veteran’s Day Luncheon. This is a professionally timed race and a Peachtree qualifier (1103OWC).
What You Need to Know:
The Course: The race course begins at Kennesaw First Baptist Church on Main Street and runs through the historic district, looping through Swift Cantrell Park and ending right in the heart of downtown Kennesaw.
6:30 am – 7:30 am: Late Registration at Kennesaw First Baptist (No guarantee of t-shirt)
7:30 am: 1 Mile Fun Run begins
8:00 am: 5k begins in Front of Kennesaw First Baptist
8:55 am: Tot Trot – Downtown Kennesaw
9:15 am: Awards Ceremony at Depot Park
Cost: Early Registration $25, Late Registration $30 (postmarked by 7/22), Race Day Registration $35
1 Mile Fun Run $15 (t-shirt and untimed bib), Phantom Runner (Mail My Shirt) $30
Tot Trot No Charge (no t-shirt or timed bib)
Early Packet Pick up: (includes t-shirt and swag back) Big Peach Running Company Kennesaw on July 29th and 30th from 12 pm to 8 pm
Awards: Awards to the Top Male / Female Finishers, Top Masters Male / Female Finishers, and Top 3 Male/Female finishers in 14 age categories
Celebration: A special VIP celebration will be held for the first 50 finishers on the upper deck at Trackside Grill. There will be food and fun at Depot Park after the race for all participants.
Parking: Plenty of parking is available at Kennesaw First Baptist or at any of the city designated spaces. Main Street will be closed from the Plaza to Swift Cantrell Park so plan your travel accordingly.
